Relationship Changes

Author's Note: Finding Nemo is about a father and a son with a bad, untrustworthy relationship. I explain in this conflict resolution piece how it changes from beginning to end.

Finding Nemo is about a father and a son who don’t have a trusting relationship. Marlin, who is Nemo’s father worries about losing Nemo, because his wife followed by his other children died. The main conflict is about how Nemo wants to be independent, but his dad always wants to have him in his sight.

Nemo gets separated from his father. A man with a scuba diving outfit swam down and captured Nemo, he was sent to a Fish store. His Father tried to save him but there was no hope. Later in the Movie Nemo’s Father met this girl named Sydney. They went to save Nemo. In the end of the movie Nemo got flushed down the toilet and returns to his family.

 Marlin still has some trust issues until Sydney got trapped in a net, along with at least 50 other Fish. Nemo said “ I have to save him.” His father grabbed his arm and said “ I’m not losing you this time Nemo.” Nemo said “ you have to trust me.” His father let’s go, then Nemo swam up to the net, Nemo said, “Swim Down.” All the fish swam down and the net broke. In the end Marlin finally trusted Nemo for saving all those fish. There trustful relationship was restored.

Mean to Nice

Author's Note: The Alternate ending describes how I would end this piece. I picked a happy ending to show that anyone can make a change in life.

The boy ran home and quickly jumped on his computer. He looked for a Job. Followed by a better education. Most of his family were surprised to see him working at this Mini Golf place, making around 8 dollars an hour. He told many friends, family, and even strangers his story.

His whole life turned around, because of this Lady. He even made it on the News’s. After a good 2 years, he decided to visit the Lady. When he got to the Lady’s house, he knocked 3 times on the door. When she opened the door the boy said, Thank you.

The reason I choose to explain the alternate ending as I did, is because I knew it would be a happy ending, but maybe for some a sad ending. I really choose this though because I thought it be an interesting to hear people’s reactions.

Florida

Author's Note:This is my Personal Narrative, it focuses on what I did in Florida. It also talks about the Hot humid weather. As well as Jelly Fish season.

I've never been to Florida before, and I’ve never seen waves. This was a really exciting moment for me to finally visit a new state with different atmosphere. It was also my second time being on a plane. The last time I flew on a plane my ears popped. Sadly it happened again.

We stayed in a big hotel right next to a sandy, wavy, dead jelly fish infected beach. Whenever I would jump into the Ocean the waves would literally carry you. I would step on a jelly fish every time the wave pushed me closer to the sand.

On the beach, was a close by restaurant. I got to eat delicious lobster. I honestly would have to say that sea food is my favorite. I stayed at Florida for a good two weeks. We had crispy shrimp, clams, and even hot, steaming, salted, big fish. I also got the best tan of my life.

If you’re looking for a warm relaxing place to stay, then Florida is the place for you. They have some of the best sea food around. But if you go to Florida in Jelly Fish Season, then be careful, and if you’re an indoors person then Florida is definitely not the place for you.  

Cause and Effect

Author's Note: I wrote this to show my skill in Cause and Effect. It tells how much I enjoyed this vacation. It also tells how if I didn't go on a vacation how that would turn out.

It was during the summer when my Family and I were going to go to the Wisconsin Dells. We usually go somewhere special every year during summer. I've been to Florida a couple times, and South Carolina. But this was my first time going to the Dells. I was hoping for there to be large water slides, a nice place to tan, and even yummy ice cream.

The cause of why we do this every Summer is so we can enjoy ourselves, and to also spend time together. The reason we go on vacation Is to get away from the colder weather, and to get a break from school and jobs. The effect of going on vacation was fantastic. It had good effect on me because I got to go on water slides, and eat ice cream. Unfortunately I got no tan. My family also got some really cool souvenirs.

If I hadn’t gone on vacation it would have been quite boring, because my Mother would have been at work, and I would be stuck at school doing assignments, and WKCE Testing.

Dough Boy

Author's Note: In this Retelling Piece I talk a little bit about his life and the current problems he has with his weight.

This book is about an over weight teen whose parents got divorced when he was younger. A new Father came into his life and he was a little over weight as well. They got along great. But later in the story his daughter comes around & she’s a skinny pretty girl who is trying to get Dough Boy on a diet, but he refuses.

My Questions to the Founding Fathers

         

Author's Note: This is about the Founding Fathers and what they've done. I talk a little bit about slavery and women's rights.

The Founding Fathers were creators of the Declaration of Independence. They were Political leaders. They all came from the 13 colonies. They were known as delegates. Some of these delegates were George Washington, Patrick Henry, John Adams, Samuel Adams, John Dickinson, John Day, and many others.

I want to say thank you for the United States. But some of the choices you made were poorly chosen. Why did allow slavery, and made Women not have any rights. You only allowed freedom if you were a white man. You damaged the United States because of the choices you made. Racism still lives on this day.

If you allowed freedom to everyone, people today would feel equal. It has affected the World. Maybe someday we can all get over one of the biggest mistakes made. But in all of the bad choices you've made it took a big part in winning American Independence, and Creating the United States of America. So thank you for all you’ve done to let us live here in peace.

Summer Break

Author's Note: In this story it kind of explains how my summer went. It also explains a little about how I felt when the first school day was arriving.



           My summer sure was boring, I didn't do much. We didn't even get to go on a
vacation, my Mother didn't have enough gas money. We were supposed to go to the
"Wisconsin Dells" & have a fun time at "Noah's Ark." Besides the fact of me not
           going on a vacation, let me explain how the rest of my summer went. I got to hang out with a lot of my friends. I couldn't believe I would go to bed around 4:00 in the morning. It was hard to sleep in 80 degree weather, when the air vent in my room
wasn't even working. We got rid of my cat, it's pee reeked the whole house.
          Our bunny died, & the same goes with our gold fish. They lived for some
good years. I guess when you got to go, you got to go. All we have left is our dog, named Ginger. My   Summer could have been worse. Hopefully next summer I get to do something a little more exciting. Almost                          
           my whole summer, I worried so much about School. I thought it was going to be the same as last year. But I   guess they Changed a lot. Turns out, I shouldn’t have worried about a new grade. I also had my birthday over   summer. I got a bunch of stuff. I guess in the end things didn’t turn out as bad as they did.

2Pac

The life of 2Pac, 2Pac was a hip-hop legend his real name was “Tupac Shakur” he made music like no other. He was a man who really had a very hard life. His mom was the only one who could take care of him. His dad died when he was just a baby. But when he got into the rap career he was working for "digital underground." He ended up becoming a million air and sold over 75 million records.

His music talked about some sadness, some anger, & hatred in his life. What he wanted to tell everyone was just don’t give up, live your life, and be happy. Some of his best songs were “keep your head up”, “Staring at the world through my rear view”, and “Pain”. He was making music when he was in West vs East. he was a W.E.S.T side gangster.

Some people look at him and think he was a bad man. He did nothing wrong. He really only wanted love. He was growing up with kids doing a lot of drugs. 2Pac got a bunch of law suits & went to jail. Police treated him like he was a piece of dirt. He saw a lot of racism and made a song called changes, which inspired me to change my acts. He loved children, he would make songs with children. He looked so happy to put children in his music videos.

But 2Pac now is dead. You might wonder how he died? He was killed by a drive by. What happened was a gang member got beaten down by the west side. Apparently 2Pac was involved in it. When the gang found out about this beating, they went to find 2Pac. When 2Pac and his friend Suge Knight were heading to this party he came to a red light. A man rolled down his window and shot 2Pac 5 times. He survived the shootings and was rushed to the hospital.

His friends came to see him every day. Until eventually he died of cardiac arrest, & loss of blood. People say that "Biggie Smalls" killed him. After 14 years they finally found the man behind the killing. It was Suge Knight. From this day I will always pray for 2Pac to rest in peace. God bless 2Pac. But what would 2Pac want for us to do. Well he would probably just want us to live are life’s and be happy.

Oil Drill in Alaska

 About it: This book tells why not to drill for oil in Alaska because animals are important and we need to keep them safe!

What can be dangerous about this oil drill? It could affect many animals! As the machines do their job it also lets off gas into the air! That gas could poison animals! Most people do not think it Is not a good idea! But on the other hand the reason these people want to drill to find oil is because a lot of people have been dying lately because of fighting over oil.    

My honest opinion is I am against this oil drill for the safety of our animals! The animals are not used to human beings being around them! So they might attack! If this happened it would take all the animals homes away!

But we should at least try because when people die it affects families! But if animals get oil on them they can’t breed so then the population will be zero! But we have a great men trained and always prepared we can win this!

So we should all stand up and fight for oil and keep are animals safe!

Even if the gas prices are going up we can’t risk this! That’s why you have to earn things in life for the reward!

Jesse James

        This is about a wild west legend that had a hard life as a young man and as grown man. In the story you will find out how he if different from me.

            Jesse James was different from me because he was an outlaw and did a lot of crimes over and over again. He robbed a lot of trains and killed many civilians, and robbed banks daily. In his life he stopped for a short while with robbery and killing. Because he got shot and decided he was done and made a deal with the government. But later he started the crimes again because of war. Then he was once wanted again.

            Another reason Jesse James was different from me is because he lived in west of Missouri. He was a legend for what he did. He owned his own gang so there isn’t a possible way he could be similar to me. He’s a man who got shot and faked his death more than once. He lived a hard life. His dad died when he was younger and since he was a famous outlaw he always kept his eye out for enemies.

            So as you can see he is completely different from me. My opinion of him is he seemed like a very nice man, besides his thug ways. He always seemed to have wanted peace. He would always give things to the poor to help them survive. Most of the money he made he wouldn’t keep it.

            Out of all I really liked the book but we have big differences. Some things to mention about this book is Jesse James wasn’t the bad guy in the end because in his partner known as the new recruit gang member felt like he wanted to be as famous as Jesse James so he decided to shoot Jesse James in the back of the head. But he didn’t see what was coming. As we know Jesse James helped the poor. So that just made Jesse James more famous. His new recruit was left in the dust.

The Third Wish

            The Third Wish is written by Joan Aiken. This was the worst short story that I have ever read. This short story was a horrible book because it was not exciting, very boring, and a bad genre. There weren’t even people in the story there were ducks.

            First, The Third Wish was a very boring book. One reason this short story was boring is because the boy swan wished for this girl swan who would cry most of the story. Another reason is the boy swan wished for not so exciting things.

Second, The Third Wish was a romance short story. Which I don’t like romance, I like more of life style books and suspense books. One romantic example is he wished for a wife and every night she would come home speechless and cry. Another reason is they would kiss at times that didn’t make sense and a lot of snuggling.

Overall, this short story was awful and I suggest that nobody reads it. The main reason I did not like the story is because they were talking ducks! I don’t like this book because it was boring and it was a different genre than I like to read. I would suggest nobody should read this short story.

Hairy Joe

Hairy Joe

            Once upon a time there was a man who lived way up in the mountains named Hairy Joe. He lived by himself and had a dog that wasn’t so smart but he got the job done. Everyday Hairy Joe would go hunting for some birds. Hairy Joe had a perfect shot with his Javelin. Anyway he had to live through the winter which was cold but he survived. Anyway one day he was walking to his shed nearby his house and tripped over a rope, and his head landed on a hard rock and he was passed out for 3 hours.

            He woke up 3 hours later and said “where am I?” A man walked in and said “you’re in the Temple of Wonders.” Hairy asked “well sir what’s your name?” The man said “my name is Raspberry Stuffed Potatoes, but you can just call me Big R.” Hairy said “ok Big R what do you need?” Well it seems you’re the only one who could help us. Big R said “someone robbed the temple of wonders!” Hairy said “quick question what is the Temple of Wonders?” Big R said “the Temple of Wonders is a beautiful place where people’s wonders are stored. For an example when someone wished they had 1,000,000 dollars it goes to the Temple of Wonders.”

            “But the point is someone stole all the wishes and we don’t know who. So it’s up to you to find this robber.” Hairy said “Okay and what shall I get for a reward?” Big R said “I’ll give you your 2 wishes, you’ve always wanted. “Hairy said “exactly what are the wishes… I’ve seemed to forget.” Big R said “you’ll figure it out sooner or later let it be a surprise to you from me.” Hairy said “so how do I find this robber?” Big R said “remember this is a whole new world and things may look different.” Hairy said “how different?” Big R said “you’ll see just walk through this door.”

            Hairy said “okay here I go.” Big R said “wait I forgot to tell you.” Hairy said “tell me what.” Big R said “well you only have 50 hours and then you’re stuck here forever.” Hairy said “what!” Big R said “just go, trust me I highly doubt it’s going to happen with someone like you.” Hairy said “thanks.” Big R said “ok go capture this thief”. Hairy said “okay here I go!” As Hairy was falling and screaming he landed perfectly on the ground it was almost like he was invincible. Anyway Hairy was off he searched for him for days. Hairy met this man in a town who told him he might know someone who could help him.

He told Hairy to search in a cave and he would find an old man who knew what happened. Hairy agreed and went to search. As hairy entered the cave in was dark and many spider webs were lurking down on Hairy. Hairy took out his pocket knife he always has had in his fur boots. But just then Hairy saw something he’s never seen before a spider the size of a bear. Hairy didn’t know how to kill it or attack It. Hairy took his pocket knife aimed and threw it and hit the spider’s eye it made strange crying noises and ran away.

As he got further in the cave he found skeletons. There were many other tunnels. Hairy just went with the tunnel that felt right. He found a door and knocked. Nothing, he open the door the old man was laying on the ground. Hairy checked his pulse, he’s alive! Hairy picked up the old man and ran as fast as he could to get out of there. He could see the door! All of a sudden the giant spider came down and bite his arm. He yelled at the top of his lungs in pain. He set down the old man. He ripped out the pocket knife he threw from before and stabbed the spider several times. The spider collapsed. Hairy could feel the poison rushing through his body. Hairy grabbed the old man and ran as fast he could he got him to a doctor. Hairy searched for hours he was wasting time.

 He ran up to at least 14 people and asked them are you a doctor? Finally a man who could help. Hairy laid him upon a table and the doctor said he needs a lot of treatment. Hairy asked will he be okay!! The doctor said he’ll be fine but will you be? Hairy lifted his arm. The doctor said you should be fine first let me clean the wound. The poison didn’t get very far.

I looked at the time 5 hours were left and the old man woke up. He asked where am I. Hairy said “never mind that where is the robber.” He said “ah yes he’s hidden in the mountains of egg yolk.” Hairy asked where that is?? The old man said “walk down south and you’ll see 5 mountains and yolk of wisdom on them.” that’s why it’s called egg yolk. Anyway go get him!! Then hairy was off!! Hairy looked at the time 1 hour was left!! When he approached the mountains he could see a cave, which hairy thought that’s where he could possibly be!!

 Hairy spotted the robber using some of the wishes. Hairy jumped out and said “give me back those wishes you thief!” The robber had a mask on! The robber ran around a rock. Hairy ran as fast as he could. But just then he dove and next thing you know hairy was on top of the robber. Hairy said “give me the wishes now I need to get home.” Hairy reached into the robbers pocket and grabbed a small bottle. Hairy said “is this some kind of joke.” The robber said “no those are all the wishes I swear.” Hairy took the wishes and the robber too. Hairy ripped the mask off of the robber it was the guy from the temple, Big R. Hairy said “what is this.” Big R said “congratulations you passed.” Hairy said “passed what.” Big R said “the test.” Hairy flew off back into his own world.

As hairy got back to his universe he felt something heavy in his pockets, the 2 wishes I’ve always wanted. Hairy opened the bottle his family and friends were at his house and there was a huge feast. Hairy sat with his family and had a great 20 years left with them.
